Alessandro Sgarito

Professional photographer born in Agrigento, living between Trentino, Emilia, and now based in Rome. After graduating from DAMS in Bologna, he worked as an external consultant for the Ministry of Economic Development and later at the University of Guglielmo Marconi in Rome. A freelance storyteller trained at the photography schools “Officine Fotografiche” in Rome and “John Kaverdash” in Milan, he works on creating social documentary projects and advertising campaigns. Among his most significant recognitions is the first prize in the “National Geographic Italy” competition in the people category, as well as being a finalist in various national and international contests, including the “Siena International Photo Awards,” “Smithsonian Photography Competition,” “Hamdan International Photography Award” (HIPA), and “35 Awards” (third place in the reportage category). Music is another great passion that led to the founding of the ambient duo “Agate Rollings” and participation in the “Adieu.Reset” project as a bassist.
